DIY Geek Chic

Looking to the 2010 (and what a fantastic year for fashion THAT promises to be!) the Geek Chic look is coming back!
For girls follow these simple steps:

1) Hair, swept back if long or straightened and hanging. If short try a chic bob or androgynous cut.
2)Make-up minimal. A little mascara and light shadow. Bold, thick-rimmed glasses a must.
3)For clothes think cool androgynous. A Cotton shirt and slim trousers OR knee-length skirt and long coat.
4)For shoes you are looking for the power look. Brogues look great (especially coloured) or dress the outfit up with stilettos.

REMEMBER: When using this look you HAVE TO go full out or it won't work. There is no point doing this if you're not sure of yourself!

Sorbet Shade Pic

Alexis Mabille's trousers/top I mentioned in my last post:

Cheer up - wear sorbet shades!

On the runway sorbet shades have been stealing the show recently. Lemon, aqua, jade, lilac and pink are making their mark at the couture shows, which kicked off in Paris yesterday.
Featured on Vogue's website was a gorgeous loose lemon top with pastel pink trousers. The look is relaxed but smart and the colours definitely help that!
Looking at some high-street shops I can see some sorbet shades creeping in for the Spring/Summer collections but as yet sorbet shades are quite difficult to come across.
What I AM loving to see is the return of 'candy-coloured jeans' which are looking very chic in the winter months!
